Set up your email signature — Carissa Bub

The Art of Connection

Set up your email signature

Hi Carissa — this takes about two minutes in Apple Mail. Just follow the three steps below.

Read this first. In Mail’s signature settings there is a tickbox that says “Always match my default message font.” Make sure it is unticked — if it’s ticked, Mail strips the design and shows plain text (which is what happened last time).
  1. Copy the signature

Click the button below. The whole signature — logo, colours and all — is now on your clipboard.

  2. Open Mail’s signature settings

In Apple Mail, go to Mail → Settings → Signatures. Click the + button to create a new signature and give it a name. Then untick “Always match my default message font” on the right.

  3. Paste it in

Click into the signature editing area on the right and paste with ⌘ V. The full design should appear. That’s it — close settings and it’s ready to use.

If a step doesn’t work, the most common cause is the “match my default message font” tickbox being left on. Untick it and paste again.
